All Florida Paper Recognized for supporting students of Miami-Dade County Public Schools at the 30th Anniversary of The Education Fund
Medley, FL – On February 03, 2016, All Florida Paper was honored for being recognized as one of the supporters of The Education Fund, which helps schools get the supplies they need to better equip teachers to educate their students for a brighter future. All Florida Paper donated pizza boxes, plastic cups and paper bags in support of the arts in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
Students from various public schools across Miami-Dade County used their imagination to turn everyday products into beautiful pieces of art which were displayed at the 30th anniversary celebration of The Education Fund at the Miami Airport Convention Center. All Florida Paper Vice President Marisel Caceres was happy to see the donated products put to artistic use. She said in a statement, “we are all so happy that we can support the arts in our public schools which helps bring out the imagination of our students, the imagination which they will need to help make a difference in the world and shape their future.”
Some accomplishments of The Education Fund include:
- Increasing public school students’ college enrollment by 34%.
- Providing $8 million in free supplies for classrooms benefiting over 1 million students.
- Producing the first-ever Miami-Dade auction of student and teacher art with more than 600 executives and art aficionado’s now looking forward to one of the most creative events of the year, which to date has raised $1.1 million for public school students.
